When i try to use an audio program, it windows says there’s no devices installed for that. For the sound drivers, it seems that accidentally pointed you to the vga drivers instead of the audio drivers. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ by clicking the link above. I didn’t see any jumpers on the board for “audio” or anything. In the manual, do a search for the word jp11 to find the locations that talk about audio. Go to you device manager and check if your sound card is properly installed and does’nt have any exclamation points next to it’s name or is not listed in your other devices section.

What needed to be done was the JP11 jumper had to be removed and then Windows prompted me to installed the device. Go Here to look at it. Sinse i dont know what kind of motherboard you have i cant give ,599lmr a direct link to the drivers, but if you need help in finding them you should simply reply saying what make and model your board is and i could point you to the right place.
I tried to search for new hardware I dont know if they’re the latest ones but they’re the best i could find. m599lmmr
Also, there is a port bay on the right hand side of the PC, sort of sticking out at a 45 degree angle. If it is the lmr then the bios,manuals and drivers are here at PC Chips under discontinued products. It’s a pdf so you’ll need adobe acrobat reader. I tried to use the floppy’s cable on this weird card-thing other end plugged into the floppy audiio controller on Mobo but windows XP pro didn’t recognize any new hardware.

It seems to me like you dont have your sound card drivers installed correctly. Is there a jumper somewhere I need to switch?

OK, after looking at the internet a little bit i’ve also come to the conclusion that it looks like your board is the MLMR just like said.
From what i’ve seen you need to locate the jumper JP11 on your motherboard and remove it to enable audio. To auduo drivers either find the install disk that came with your board, if you have one i have this site here that contains drivers for that board.
